Dr. Ashley W. Tucker, Therapeutic Optometrist, FAAO, FSLS, Diplomate, ABO

Dr. Tucker along with all of the doctors at Bellaire Family Eye Care launched the Contact Lens Institute of Houston as an extension of their main clinic in 2021.

While in optometry school at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Tucker earned several Letters of Excellence for her clinical work and several awards, including the Vistakon excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care Award and the Metro Optics Excellence award.

Dr. Tucker completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Houston where she received extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases and in complex contact lens fits including patients with keratoconus, corneal transplants, and refractive surgery. Dr. Tucker has a passion for fitting scleral contact lenses and regularly receives referrals from her fellow Optometrists and Ophthalmologists to manage patients in need of specialty contact lenses. In addition, she has earned her Fellowship from the Scleral Lens Education Society which distinguishes her as an expert scleral lens fitter. Dr. Tucker is certified in fitting orthokeratology lenses in both children and adults and has extensive experience and knowledge in myopia management.

Dr. Tucker is honored to partner with several contact lens companies in order to educate her colleagues on the advancements in the contact lens industry. She is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau for the specialty division of Bausch & Lomb, a member of the Professional Advancement consultant team for CooperVision, and a lecturer for the STAPLE (Soft Toric and Presbyopic Lens Experience) program.

Dr. Ann W. Voss, Therapeutic Optometrist, FOVDR, Diplomate, ABO

Dr. Ann Voss is a neuro-developmental, therapeutic optometrist who has been serving the larger Houston area since 1989. She is the founder and managing partner of Bellaire Family Eye Care and the Vision Learning Center which are our affiliate clinics. Dr. Voss graduated with honors from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. In addition, she is a Fellow of the College of Visual Development and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.

In her work with pediatrics and special needs patients, Dr. Voss seeks to find the best solutions to enhance life-long strong vision and optimal visual skills needed for learning and motor development. She teams up with her vision therapists and associated colleagues in neurology, ophthalmology, education, and psychology to collaterally serve her patient’s needs.

Dr. Voss is board certified to manage all eye care conditions and is dedicated to utilizing the best technology available in prescribing glasses and contact lenses to patients of all ages. She has fit contact lenses – both routine and complex – her entire career and is committed to providing the best contact lens experience to all her patients.

Dr. Marcia M. Moore, Therapeutic Optometrist, FOVDR, Diplomate, ABO

Dr. Moore graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She went on to obtain her Fellowship from the College of Optometry in Vision Development in 2014. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, affirming her training and knowledge in the treatment of eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetes, strabismus, and amblyopia.

Dr. Moore has a passion for working with children and adults with neurological or developmental vision challenges. She relies on the support of other professionals to establish a team approach, as the visual system doesn’t operate in isolation. The visual system is built on every aspect of development.

Oftentimes, contact lenses are the best vision correction option for patients who have vision challenges of all types. Dr. Moore is fully committed to finding the perfect contact lens option that will provide clear and comfortable vision for all her patients.

Dr. Aamena M. Kazmi, Therapeutic Optometrist, Diplomate, ABO

Dr. Aamena Kazmi graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry with multiple Letters of Excellence for her clinical work and several honors including, Excellence in Cornea & Contact Lens and membership in Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. While in optometry school, Dr. Kazmi completed additional training in the treatment and management of Dry Eye Disease and Ocular Surface Disease. Dr. Kazmi a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and provides full-scope optometric care to patients of all ages.

Dr. Kazmi enjoys managing patients in need of specialty contact lenses, including hybrid and scleral lenses, for the treatment of corneal diseases (such as dry eye disease and keratoconus). In addition, Dr. Kazmi is certified to fit orthokeratology contact lenses in children and adults. She has an extensive background in myopia management and has a passion for reducing the progression of nearsightedness in pediatric and adolescent patients.
