What is Blepharitis?
Blepharitis is an inflammatory disease of the eyelids caused by an accumulation of biofilm along the lid margin.

Do I Have It?
Common symptoms include dryness, itching, crust or debris flaking, and scratchy eyes. However, some patients don’t experience any of these these symptoms and are in the advanced stages of blepharitis.

What do I do about it?
There are several things that you can do to help reduce the inflammation and soothe the irritation of the yes. Artificial tears can help to lubricate the eyes temporarily, lid scrubs can help to clean the surface for the time being, and warm compresses can provide relief.

The best way to stop Blepharitis is to have a simple in-office procedure done that will deep clean your eyelids and express out any blocked Meibomian glands. This painless procedure is called BlephEx and can be done in as little as 20 minutes. Call us today to talk about the best treatment option!
